Kunstkantine grew out of a simple idea. It started with a group of four friends, driven by enthusiasm and maybe a bit of naïveté. Opening pop-ups, creating platform for emerging artists, and learning by doing. Along the way, that small group grew into a community of more than sixty people: artists, makers, friends, family, and everyone in between. The goal has always stayed the same: to show as much art as possible.

Now, we have a place to return to.

It’s All About the Canteen brings all of those experiences together. The works you see here did not arrive by chance. The artists have been moving alongside us for a long time, reconnecting and joining again along the way. It is an ode to canteens.
